Banked Slalom, great vibes and a whole lot of fun!

After needing to postpone the event due to the lack of snow we had in Switzerland at the beginning of the year the Burton Mystery Series at Snowpark Lenzerheide finally took place this past Sunday, 5. March 2023. The park-crew was working flat out for up to 14 hours per day in the week prior to the event creating a masterpiece of a Banked Slalom. Despite the warm temperatures the course was holding up nicely throughout the whole day and all participants were given two runs to post their best time.
Between runs 1 and 2 all the riders were given a free meal and beverage to restore their energy levels for the afternoon. After the lunch break the Burton crew hosted a railjam for all 16 and under participants giving out goodies and high fives . Stoke-levels were high and all the groms absolutely tore the rail section apart. The future of snowboarding is in great hands thats for sure!
After all the goodies were given out and the overall winners were crowned we kept the session going with the older riders joining in on the session.
Meanwhile run number two was getting under way with all the riders keen on improving their times they set in the morning. Everyone was giving it their 100% for a chance to get on the podium in their categories. Everyone on the podium received a Burton gift card worth up to 500.- for all the winners along with a Mystery Series trophy.
With the sun slowly disappearing behind the mountaintops the riders where given out free shirts with Mystery Series prints on them while everyone was soaking up the last bit of sunlight .
Vibes were at an all-time high and everyone was enjoying themselves celebrating our beloved sport and community.

I wanna give a huge shoutout to Burton, their partners and all the organisers for making this event happen and making snowboarding the dopest thing on this planet. Also huge thanks to the whole parkcrew, the volunteers, Maca, Seppl, Dani, Jonas and Gabriel from the Burton Team and of course all the riders for keeping the spirits high and getting together for this amazing event.
